Reading the Dashboard
The Dashboard is the first screen you see after signing in. It is a single, at-a-glance summary of the health of your real-estate operation: how much you own, how much is allocated and selling, where money is sitting, and what needs your attention right now. Every number is live — it reflects the current state of the database, filtered by the controls at the top of the page.
The Dashboard is also role-aware. You only see the widgets your permissions allow. A Sales Head sees the sales funnel and booking value; a Finance Manager sees collection and due figures; a Partner sees a read-only ownership view. If a section described below is missing for you, that simply means it is outside your role's scope.
Anatomy of the page
The page is built from five stacked areas, top to bottom:
- Filter bar — narrows everything below it to a date range, stock, project or subproject.
- KPI cards — the headline numbers.
- Inventory snapshot — units grouped by status.
- Stock utilisation — how much land/building area is in use.
- Sales funnel & bookings — the sales pipeline at a glance.
- Alerts panel — exceptions that need action.
Almost every widget is clickable. Selecting a KPI card, a status bucket, a funnel stage or an alert "drills down" — it carries your current filters across to the matching list or report so you land on exactly the records behind that number.
The filter bar
The filter bar sits at the top and controls the whole page. Set it once and every widget re-reads.
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Date range | A preset (Today, This Week, This Month — the default, This Quarter, This Year, Last 7/30/90 Days, Last Month/Quarter/Year, All Time) or a Custom start/end. |
| Date field | Which date the range is measured against — Booking, Status change, or Allocation date. Switching this keeps your chosen range but changes what it means. |
| Stock | Multi-select. Leave empty for All stocks. |
| Project | Narrows to one project. The list is auto-filtered by the stocks you picked. |
| Subproject | Narrows to one subproject. Auto-filtered by the chosen project. |
The filters cascade: choosing a stock limits the projects on offer, and choosing a project limits the subprojects. The default view is This Month, measured by Booking date, all stocks.
KPI cards
The headline cards come in up to three groups:
Common KPIs (everyone with dashboard access)
- Total Projects, Total Subprojects, Total Units — each card drills down to its respective list, carrying your filters.
- Total Stocks — with a category breakdown underneath (for example
Land: 1 | Building: 1).
Stock-aware KPIs (area metrics for Land and Building stocks)
- Total Stock Area, Utilised Area, Unutilised Area (all in sqft), and Utilisation %. These are informational cards — they summarise area, so they do not drill down.
Sales KPIs (shown only if you have sales/report-sales permission)
- Total Sales Value, Total Collected, Total Due (formatted in Indian currency, e.g. ₹2.4Cr), and Conversion Rate (%). Each links into the Bookings Summary report or the Quotations list.
Inventory snapshot
A breakdown of every unit by its current status — Draft, Available, Blocked, Booked, Advanced, Agreement Signed, Registered, Hold, Frozen, Cancelled — each shown with a count, a percentage of the total, and a colour. Click any bucket to open the unit list pre-filtered to that status.
A blocked-units alert badge appears on this widget when units have been blocked longer than your organization's configured threshold (in days). It is an early warning that holds are going stale.
Stock utilisation
This widget answers "how much of what we own is being used?". For each Land or Building stock it shows total area, utilised area, remaining area, and a utilisation percentage, with summary rows per category. Product-category stocks are summarised by quantity (per unit of measurement) instead of area. Rows for stock the organization does not yet own are highlighted so you can spot them.
Sales funnel & bookings
For sales-enabled roles, this section visualises the pipeline:
- Sales funnel — counts at each stage (Quotations → Sales Orders → registered), each stage clickable.
- Bookings by project and Bookings by stock — booking count and value grouped two ways, so you can see where demand is concentrated.
Everything here respects the date range, so "This Month" really means bookings created this month.
Alerts & exceptions panel
The alerts panel is your action list. Each alert has a severity (Danger, Warning, Info), a count, a short message, and a drill-down link. Phase-1 alerts include:
| Alert | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Long Blocked Units | Units blocked beyond the threshold (e.g. "8 units blocked for more than 30 days"). |
| Unutilised Stock | Owned stock with little or no allocation. |
| Booked, Not Registered | Units sold but not yet registered. |
| Docs Pending Registration | Registration-critical documents still missing. |
| Expiring Blocks | Unit holds about to expire. |
Work the panel top-down: click an alert to jump straight to the affected records and resolve them.
Tips
- Start narrow. If the numbers look surprising, check the filter bar first — you may be looking at a single project or a short date window.
- Use drill-down instead of re-searching. Clicking a number is faster and more accurate than recreating the same filter on a list page.
- The Dashboard is read-only. It never changes data; it only shows it and routes you to where changes are made.
