Individual Partners
An Individual partner represents a single person who holds — or may hold — an ownership stake. This page covers creating and editing an individual, including the personal and compliance details, bank accounts, and the status toggle.
Create an individual partner
- Go to Partners → Individuals.
- Select New Individual (or Add Partner).
- Fill in the form (sections below).
- Select Save.
The partner is created with status Active by default.
Personal information
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Partner Name | Yes | 2–255 characters. Must be unique within your organization. No special characters. |
| Designation Title | No | For example, Investor or Director. |
| Mobile | Yes | A valid 10-digit Indian mobile number. Must be unique. |
| Alternate Mobile | No | A second 10-digit number. |
| Yes | A valid email address. Must be unique. |
KYC / identity fields (PII)
These compliance fields identify the person. They are personally identifiable information, so the system masks them on screen (showing only the last few characters) and validates their format strictly.
| Field | Required | Format |
|---|---|---|
| PAN | No | 10 characters in the pattern ABCDE1234F. |
| PAN Holder Name | No | The name as printed on the PAN card. |
| GSTIN | No | 15-character GST number, where applicable. |
| GST Registered Name | No | The registered business name. |
| GST Registration Type | No | Regular, Composition, Unregistered, and so on. |
PAN and GSTIN are entered in upper case automatically. Enter PAN in the exact ABCDE1234F pattern, or the form will reject it. See Validation Rules for the precise patterns.
Address
You can record a business address (address lines, locality, city, state, country, pincode, and an optional map link) and, for individuals, a separate personal address using the same set of fields. City, state, country, and pincode on the main address are required.
:::note Sensitive data is masked A partner's sensitive details — PAN, GSTIN, email, mobile, alternate mobile, and the business and personal addresses — are masked by default in both the list and the detail view, showing only a partial value.
Where you have permission, an eye / reveal icon reveals the full value; by default only an Admin can reveal partner data, and every reveal is recorded in the Audit & Logs trail. Other roles continue to see masked values. See Data Security for the full rules. :::
Communication preferences
Choose the partner's preferred communication mode — Call, WhatsApp, or Email — so the rest of the system knows how best to reach them.
Bank accounts
You can attach one or more bank accounts to the partner. Each account captures:
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Nickname | No | A friendly label, such as Salary account. |
| Bank Name | Yes | |
| Branch | Yes | |
| IFSC | Yes | 11 characters in the pattern HDFC0001234 (4 letters, a 0, then 6 alphanumeric). |
| Account Number | Yes | |
| Account Holder Name | Yes | |
| Account Type | Yes | For example, Savings or Current. |
| Default Receipt | No | Marks this as the account to use for receipts. |
You can add bank accounts while creating the partner, or add and manage them later from the partner's detail screen.
Notes
A free-text Notes field is available for any internal remarks.
Edit an individual partner
Open the partner from the Individuals list and select Edit. You can change any of the fields above. Bear in mind:
- The name, mobile, and email must remain unique — the system blocks duplicates.
- Field-level validation (PAN pattern, mobile format, IFSC, and so on) runs on save.
- Changes are recorded in the audit trail.
Status toggle (Active / Inactive)
Each partner has a status toggle:
- Active — the partner can be added to new holdings.
- Inactive — the partner is retired from new use.
You cannot deactivate a partner that is still in use by active holdings — the system blocks it and lists where the partner is referenced (for example, "in use by: 1 Partnerships, 2 Unit Holdings"). Remove or reassign those holdings first, or simply leave the partner Active.
An Inactive partner cannot be added to a new active holding row; you must reactivate it first.
Deleting an individual partner
Deletion is a soft delete and is guarded. A partner that is referenced anywhere — partnerships, project holdings, subproject holdings, unit holdings, or stock holdings — cannot be deleted. The system will tell you to set the partner to Inactive instead. See Delete Guardrails for the full picture.
